Debbie Slater

Debbie Slater was formerly the Corporate Pastry Chef for the Chicago based, renowned restaurant group, "Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises". Debbie supervised all of the pastry kitchens for Lettuce Entertain You's forty-two restaurants.

Debbie's other credits include the opening of the highly acclaimed Tin Pan Asian Bistro in San Francisco and The Bistro At Glen Ellen in Sonoma County. Debbie is also a talented wedding cake artist and has made many beautiful wedding cakes over the years.

Several articles have been written about her including a two-page spread in the Chicago Tribune about her desserts at Chicago's Famous Pump Room, where she was the Executive Pastry Chef.

In 2000 together with long time business partner Munther Massarweh, she developed and opened the hugely successful WildFox Restaurant in Novato. Debbie plays a dual role at WildFox, she is not only the Executive Pastry Chef but also a managing partner, and can be found there most days.

Munther Massarweh
Munther Massarweh came from Chicago’s famous “Pump Room”, where he served as the executive chef for five years. Before moving to the mid-west Munther ran several restaurants in the bay area such as “McCormick & Koleto’s”, “Perry’s Restaurant”, “The Fillmore Bar & Grill”, and “Club Eleven”.

His experience with “Lettuce Entertain You Corporation” in Chicago (the same organization that launched the careers of San Francisco’s successful Real Restaurants Corporation) is what makes him one of the best chefs and restaurant operators.

Munther opened his first restaurant in Hawaii and after several years decided to come back to the bay area were he opened “Tin Pan Asian Bistro” in San Francisco and “The Bistro at Glenn Ellen”. The restaurants were an immediate success.

Munther is currently the general operating partner at “Wildfox Restaurant” in Novato Ca. He developed the successful steak house concept in 1998 and proceeded to build “Wildfox” in 1999. “Wildfox” opened its doors on November 1, 2000.

Chef de Cuisine
Matthew Curry has been with “WildFox” since the restaurant opened its doors in November 2000. He started as a line cook and was very quickly promoted to Sous Chef, then Executive Sous Chef and now is Chef de Cuisine, a much-deserved position. Matthew has more than earned his position through his hard work, incredible creativity and dedication to his food. Chef Matthew is a native of Marin County and has held various cooking jobs in restaurants throughout Marin And Sonoma Counties.

General Manager

Giorgio Notari joined the team at “WildFox” as General Manager in spring of 2005. He was born in Italy where he graduated from the Hotel And Restaurant State School in 1977. After working in Europe and luxury cruise liners he decided to settle in California where he managed several restaurants in the Bay Area such as Umberto, Splendido and Frontoio. As General Manager of WildFox, Giorgio brings an abundance of experience and enthusiasm with a particular focus on the wine program and service. His favorite saying is “A tavola non s’invecchia” (at the dining table, you don’t age); so join him for a great meal at “WildFox”.
